About the Instrument Lab

From my start as an apprentice under two German master journeymen, throughout an international career and ongoing professional development, to today, thirty-seven years later, I continue to advance my skill in the art of band instrument repair.

The satisfaction of repairing or customizing an instrument is only exceeded by the distinction of gaining yet another satisfied client.

As a technician, I have remained perennially curious, questioning how, and with what, we do what we do. An early adopter of new tools, techniques and materials, I am always looking for the means to make my work better, easier and faster with the creation of new tools, or the improvement of existing tools and accessories.

With a passion for my career, my unceasing desire to create and improve the tools used in repair, and the invaluable assistance from my wife and business partner, Julie, the Instrument Lab LLC opened in the USA in 2021.

Our mission is to offer an outstanding level of quality to both our repair and service clientele and to the technicians that use our innovative products.
